Nahuel Guzman is amazed at the ban handed to Tuca after the problems in Veracruz two weeks ago, calling the ban “excessive”.
“According to the report, the FMF’s justification for the suspension is that Tuca violated the code of ethics,” said Nahuel. “From that point of view, the suspension is excessive compared to sanction against the stadium.”
Tuca has been banned from the touchline for two games while Veracruz will only have to play one match behind closed doors. The decision has called into question the FMF’s priorities and its desire to rid the stands of violence.
Tigres have decided not to appeal against the ban, and although Nahuel doesn’t agree with the FMF, he respects the club’s decision.
“I just hope the bans for Tuca and Veracruz help to prevent any further issues. We must all work together to ensure the safety of the country’s terraces,” he concluded.
