Rumors in the Monterrey press (Multimedios) this afternoon are suggesting Tigres is potentially lining up a swap deal with Pumas UNAM this summer.
According to the reports, Ismael Sosa could return to the capital after 12 months in Nuevo Leon, with Nicolás Castillo heading the other way in exchange.
The 24-year-old Chilean international has eight caps and one goal for La Roja. He joined Pumas at the start of the season and scored eight times in just 11 appearances during the Clausura.
Sosa was the marquee signing of last summer and has enjoyed a largely successful spell at El Volcan. He’s scored 12 goals in 39 league games, as well as a solitary goal in the CONCACAF Champions League against Pachuca in the final.
The rumors claim Pumas are desperate to land their former hero but would be unable to meet Tigres high financial demands, hence the possibility of a part-exchange.
