Tigres hope to complete a deal for Newell’s Old Boys full-back Luis Advincula this week.
The 26-year-old Peruvian has agreed terms with the club, and Tuca says a few administrative details are all that remains to be finalized.
The right-back will offer competition to Gutty Estrada. We have been short of cover in the position since Israel Jimenez’s injury last season.
“I have to wait for some administrative things,” said Tuca. “I hope it’s finished as soon as possible, but it’s out of my hands.
“I wish it was already done, but I have to be patient.”
Prior to joining Newell’s Old Boys, Advincula also spent time in Germany, Portugal, and Turkey. He was reportedly a target for Premier League side West Ham United in the summer of 2015.
