Tigres look to maintain impressive home record against Cruz Azul

Tigres will try and extend their recent good form against Cruz Azul when Los Cementeros visit El Volcan tonight.

We’ve only lost one of the last eleven meetings against the Mexico City outfit, going down 2-0 in the capital 18 months ago as a Roque Santa Cruz brace gave them the three points.

Our record in San Nicolas is even better – you have to go all the way back to 2008 to find the last time we fell to a defeat. On that day we lost 3-1, despite an early Lucas Lobos goal.

Can the Record Continue?

All the omens are in our favour this evening. We’re unbeaten in the league, Cruz Azul languish outside the playoffs and look fragile defensively, and it seems like Gignac and Sosa are just starting to hit top form.

The only question mark that remains is over what side Tuca will pick. Jurgen Damm is still injured, and with a trip to Panama to come next week, could we finally see Andy Delort given his first start?

Let us know what you think.
