Tigres receives mixed news after Ayala and Pizarro red card appeals

It was a disastrous final ten minutes in our game against Cruz Azul at the weekend. Guido Pizarro was sent off for a second yellow card with five minutes remaining, then Hugo Ayala was also shown a red after full-time.

We appealed against both decisions, and the FMF returned their verdict earlier today.

It was mixed news; Hugo Ayala’s appeal was successful, but Pizarro’s was not.

It means the centre-back will be available for our trip to Leon on Saturday – but Pizarro will have to have to serve a one-game ban.

Jimenez to Return?

It’s certainly a blow, but it’s not as bad as losing both of them. Presumably,¬†Tuca will now move Jesus Duenas back into center midfield after he played the last couple of games at right-back, and reinstate Israel Jimenez to the back four.

Is the FMF’s decision fair? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
