We are reportedly keen on making a move for Premier League full-back, Juan Carlos Paredes.
The news comes fresh off the back of reports last week that we were close to securing a move for his Watford teammate, Joel Sanchez.
The Ecuadorian 29-year-old has spent for of his career plying his trade in South America, but in the summer of 2014 the switch from Barcelona SC to Watford via a very brief spell with La Liga side, Granada.
He’s made 56 league appearances for the Hornets since joining, but has not played this season after being left out of their 25-man Premier League squad.
Leaving in January?
His agent, Roberto De Fanti, told the Watford Observer that his client was likely to leave in January.
“Mr Mazzarri plays with three center-backs, so his position was becoming redundant at the start of the season,” he said.
“Last year he played 17 games, but with the system some choices had to be made for the 25-man squad.
“We are talking about a full international with Ecuador, and not being in the squad has been quite frustrating for him. If he is still not in his plans in January, he will leave.”
We are clearly in the market for a right-back after the injury to Israel Jimenez and the ongoing absence of Guty Estrada.
