Tuca Ferretti has admitted the current prognosis for Javier Aquino is worrying.
“We hope that is not very serious, but the immediate report is not very encouraging,” he said on Sunday. “We hope that in the next three days we can make all the necessary tests and properly understand the extent of the injury”.
Aquino was injured in a clash with Pachuca’s Raúl López – a tackle for which he picked up his second yellow card of the game and was subsequently dismissed.
It capped a torrid day for the winger; he was celebrating his 27th birthday on Saturday but ended it with a suspension and a night in hospital.
Pachuca won 1-0 thanks to Jara’s early goal. It leaves us in 16th place with just four points from six games. Next up is a trip to Veracruz on Friday night.
