Tigres captain Juninho is out of contract at the end of this season and there’s still no meaningful news about whether a new deal will be reached.
His agent Marcio Bittencourt was spotted with his client at the end of a training session at El Volcan today, and both headed to the directors’ offices as the other players departed.
Sources close to the club are adamant talks are ongoing, but neither Juninho or Bittencourt would speak to the media.
Juninho arrived at Tigres from Botafogo in 2010. He spent his final season with Botafogo on loan in Korea. He originally signed for three years, but signed a contract extension in 2013.
The player will turn 35 in September.
