Ricardo La Volpe thinks that Tuca would be the ideal candidate for the Mexico job if Juan Carlos Osorio leaves his role after the World Cup.
He offered his views in a tweet over the weekend:
Mi técnico ideal sería sin ninguna duda el Tuca Ferreti, pero sabemos que difícilmente quiere ese puesto. Y me quedan dos jóvenes técnicos, el turco Mohamed y Miguel Herrera. https://t.co/GI2omDJeaB

Tuca has repeatedly said he’s not interested in taking the national job on a full-time basis, though El Tri did manage to lure him in for an interim spell in 2015 after El Piojo was fired for an off-field incident.
During his four-game tenure, Mexico drew with Trinidad and Tobago and Argentina, then beat the United States 3-2 in the 2015 CONCACAF Cup. The win ensured El Tri would play in the 2017 Confederations Cup.
He ended his stint with a 1-0 win against Panama.
La Volpe accepted Tuca was unlikely to take the role and highlighted Turco Mohamed and Miguel Herrera as alternative candidates.
In October 2016, Tuca signed a new deal with Tigres to keep him at the club until the end of the 2020 season.
