Tigres beat Chivas 2-0 in a friendly on Saturday night.
A second-half brace from Enner Valencia gave us the win.
The first goal came in the 52nd minute. Valencia did well to stay on his feet after a clever ball from Lucas Zelarayan, before rounding the keeper and sliding into an empty net.
The second came just three minutes later from the penalty spot. Carlos Cisernos was the guilty party; his foul on Frenchman Timothée Kolodziejczak gave the ref no choice but to blow for the foul. Valencia made no mistake from 12 yards, coolly slotting the ball into the bottom corner.
Tigres will now travel back to Monterrey ahead of next weekend’s home game against Leon in the league.
