Fernando Fernandez is a forgotten man at Tigres. The Paraguayan international scored 57 league goals in two years at Guarani, but has struggled for form and playing time since making the move to the Liga MX.
He’s clearly got talent, but the road back to the first eleven is a long one; he’s fallen behind Gignac, Delort, Sosa, Zelarayan, and Quinones in the pecking order. He has only seen 32 minutes of league action all season.
He probably won’t be at the club for much longer – and after today it seems like a return to Paraguay could be his most likely destination.
Social Media Reaction
Yesterday was the anniversary of his former club, so the 24-year-old took to Twitter to congratulate them. He was immediately bombarded by Guarani supporters, all of whom were begging him to move back home.
