Could Andre-Pierre Gignac’s Tigres career be coming to an end?
The Frenchman has been linked with moves away from Tuca Ferretti’s side almost since before the ink had dried on his contract.
According to the two reports, the Brazilian giants are chasing the 32-year-old in a bid to replace Paolo Guerrero.
Guerrero—who is Peru’s all-time record goalscorer—has his contract rescinded by the club after being found guilty of doping.
The rumor quickly being a popular topic across social media in Brazil, with the hashtag #GignacNoFlamengo trending for much of the day.

This is not the first time rumors about a possible move to Rio de Janeiro have surfaced. Earlier this year, VAVEL reported that Gignac had asked Tigres teammate and former Gremio and Vasco da Gama player Rafael Carioca what it was like to play for the six-time Brazilian champions.
For his part, Gignac has publicly and repeatedly expressed his desire to see out the remainder of his career at El Volcan.
Tigres could be in for a busy summer, with seven stars reportedly on the brink of leaving the club.
