Tuca to make big changes? Meza, Advincula, Vargas all set to start

Tuca is set to make significant changes to the Tigres starting eleven for tonight’s game against Veracruz.

After a dismal start to the Clausura, which has only seen us pick up four points from six games, the boss is desperate to start collecting wins to stay in touch with the top eight.

According to La Aficion, we should see Luis Advincula make his first start in the senior side, Francisco Meza will receive a recall in the heart of the defence, and Eduardo Vargas will partner Gignac in attack.

It’s unclear if Vargas will take the place of the injured Aquino or the out-of-form Sosa. If Sosa is dropped we might see veteran winger Damian handed a starting berth out wide.

News out of the club this week also appeared to suggest we might see Palos return to the side after he overcame the knock he picked up against Toluca, meaning we could see as many as five changes to the side that lost 1-0 against Pachuca last weekend.

Kickoff is at 9pm local time.
